The Hysopt BIM Syncer offers an interactive split-screen, letting Engineers and Modellers work in their own environment, exchanging and synchronising data at the same time. It provides constantly validated and synchronised models to efficiently create correctly designed and calculated systems.
With the Hysopt software, you can fully calculate and simulate HVAC systems in a virtual environment before they are build or renovated in real life. It incorporates all applicable physical laws (thermal, hydraulic, control, dynamics) and makes no compromises on complexity, guaranteeing an optimal design from the start instead of a suboptimal, oversized HVAC system.
Hysopt was founded in 2013 as a spin-off from the University of Antwerp, as a result of a junction of separate, complex disciplines such as HVAC Engineering, Physics and Mathematics. With the Hysopt software, we support others in their mission towards sustainability and optimal HVAC design.
At the moment, there is a digital disconnect: HVAC engineers focus on hydraulic calculations, while BIM modellers handle spatial aspects. This disjointed approach causes issues affecting quality, design duration, and costs. This paper explores these problems, showing how Hysopt integrates HVAC engineering with BIM through some key features.
